Trina Turk - Bold Prints and Colors

Trina Turk Bold Prints

I was reading Martha Stewart magazine this weekend and there was an article about Trina Turk. I was immediately attracted to bold colors and graphic patterns of her designs.

Jazz Festival in New Orleans Fashion

Jazz Feastival
I am headed to Jazz Fest in New Orleans on Thursday and wanted to share this New Orleans inspired post for my trip. New Orleans is the perfect city to wear a bit of lace and old fashioned jewelry. But walking around all day you need a good pair (and of course stylish shoes). And last but not least some cut-offs and a rock and roll style bag with fringe and a long strap that won't get in the way when you are dancing in the streets.

Shown: Butterfly Lace Frill Hem $65 Topshop, Antik Batik Bongo Bag $320 Net-a-Porter, Gap Destructed jean shorts $25, Narciso Sunglasses - Roberto Cavalli $285 Forzieri.

Summer Snow Art Exhibit

Summer Snow is an art exhibit that interprets the SS 2011 woman Marsèll Goccia collection. The art collabortive Nucleo suggests a snowfall out of season. Spraying white polyurethane with a semiautomatic machine Nucleo recreates the effect of random typical snowstorm on the shoes. The show runs Via Paullo 12/A Milan | 23rd September – 15th October. 26 Rue Saint Gilles, 75003, Paris | 30th September – 8th October

Fashion Week Spring 2011 Wrap Up

Keeping it simple - Black and White from Rachel Comey

Here are some of my favorite looks from last weeks Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week.

Pretty prints from Rebecca Taylor.

Ethnic bohemian from Anna Sui.

Tory Burch Spring 2011 Collection

Here are some photos I took at last weeks Tory Burch fashion presentation. The girls all looked lovely in their 70's inspired looks. Some of my favorite things from the show were the high waisted skirts and the bright pops of orange. Overall the styles were really pretty, flirty and feminine. Lots of pieces on my shopping list for Spring!

Opening Ceremony and Pendelton

For Fashions Night Out last night I attended the Opening Ceremony's French flea market at the Ace Hotel. The real stand out of the evening for me was the Opening Ceremony Pendelton collaboration collection. Opening Ceremony brilliantly transformed the signature patterns and prints of Pendelton into high fashion pieces.
