Ensemble launches its in-house collection

Ensemble launched its in-house collection this week along with the autumn/winter 2010 collections by 16 designers who stock at the store.

Ensemble’s own collection is based on mesmerizing peacock theme with exotic colors in shades of royal blue, sea-green, turquoise and sea-blue. It features 29 designs with both ethnic and western influence and ranges between Rs18, 00 to Rs 42,000.

Extemely breath-taking bridal collections by Umar Sayeed, HSY and Maheen Karim, were the center of attraction for those buying outfits exclusively for weddings. Besides, there were some causal cotton designs as well by designers Kamiar Rokni and Faiza Samee.

Alexandria Mills of USA becomes Miss World 2010

Miss USA Alexandria Mills, the blue eyed blonde has become an overnight sensation after winning the crown of Miss World 2010 on Saturday evening in China’s Sanya city.

Dolled up in a crispy white evening gown, the 18 year old beauty wept as wept as outgoing Miss World Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar put the tiara on her head and directed her to a diamond-shaped throne assessing the pageant’s 60th anniversary. There's no doubt that, as the trend stands to date, the full skirt is the silhouette du jour. But that doesn't mean there aren't other options for a sensual, early '60s look. Clear rain boots: the ankle version

When I wrote about Cheap Monday's clear plastic rain boots as spotted on the street, to me it seemed obvious: they were pretty darn cool. Not in a way that everyone could pull them off, or that they'd be comfortable or even practical... but, the geek in me admits, because they reminded me of the drizzly, dystopian cityscape portrayed in Bladerunner. Fashion is, of course, a subjective thing - and the response to the boots was both flurried and mixed. Some of you love them. Some question their wearability (Do they fog up? Summer Snow Art Exhibit

Summer Snow is an art exhibit that interprets the SS 2011 woman Marsèll Goccia collection. The art collabortive Nucleo suggests a snowfall out of season. Spraying white polyurethane with a semiautomatic machine Nucleo recreates the effect of random typical snowstorm on the shoes. Tory Burch Spring 2011 Collection

Here are some photos I took at last weeks Tory Burch fashion presentation. The girls all looked lovely in their 70's inspired looks. Some of my favorite things from the show were the high waisted skirts and the bright pops of orange. Overall the styles were really pretty, flirty and feminine. Lots of pieces on my shopping list for Spring!
